We
mostly breed for those requiring a special companion although our stock
originates from show lines. We enjoy the challenge and privilege
of raising puppies carefully so that they are well socialised and able
to fit into a family situation , hopefully - immediately when they leave
us at 8 - 10 weeks of age. Our
English and Gordon setters are all Kennel club / British veterinary
association hip scored and our four youngest English setters have been
deaf tested by the Animal Health Trust at Newmarket, they hold
certificates to substantiate that they haven't any deafness
problems.

The mothers of our four young
ones, are now fully retired due to both having to have had their
litters by caesarian section.
Our Irish setter, Silmanhurst
Angelina (Saffi), bred and reared by us has also been tested
clear by the Animal Health Trust at Newmarket for PRA
(Progressive Retinal Atrophy) and CLAD (Canine Leycocyte
Adhesion Deficiency). She gave birth, just before her
third birthday, to ten gorgeous puppies in March 2000.
